Please join us as we gather once more for a final weed pull for the 2022 season. Plan to meet at Oregon Dunes Day Use Area at 10 AM Saturday October 22nd to pull scotch broom that is encroaching a seasonal wet land. Volunteers are needed for this event as it was noticed during our ecology tour that a seasonal wet land is becoming encroached with scotch broom. Join Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative (ODRC) members, Armand Rebischke and Dina Pavlis, at the Oregon Dunes Day Use Area on July 16th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM for a guided hike on the beautiful Oregon dunes. The hike will provide a chance to learn about the history, geology, topography, plants and wildlife of the Oregon dunes. You'll also learn how the dunes have changed over time and what local organizations like the ODRC are doing to help save them. Scotch Broom Removal at Heceta Dunes on July 22 – Power of Florence Event

As part of Power of Florence, the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative is sponsoring a Scotch broom removal event at Heceta Dunes. This event is on Saturday, July 22 from 10 AM to Noon. Volunteers are needed to continue our efforts to remove invasive Scotch broom from one of our "Protect the Best" sites. Bring shovels, loppers, or small hand saws if you have them, or if you don't, we will have some tools you can borrow.
