Join the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative work party at H Loop of Honeyman State Park to remove Scotch broom from 10AM to 12:00PM on Saturday, September 12. Meet at the Parking Area for H Loop at the south end of Honeyman State Park overnight camping area.  It will be a short walk to the work site, and we will be working on relatively level ground.

There is a maximum of 10 people who can attend. So it is important for you to email Brian Saunders, ODRC staff person, at brian@eugenecascadescoast.org if you plan to attend and let him know how many people are in your group.

PLEASE NOTE: We will need to stay at least 6 feet apart while working and wear face coverings in the parking area. Once we are away from the parking area, the face coverings won’t be necessary as long as we stay at least 6 feet apart.

BRING: If at all possible, bring your own tools and gloves. There are a variety of different size broom plants so saws, loppers and shovels will work. A hat, long pants, and sturdy, closed-toe boots or shoes are recommended. Bring your own drinking water and hand sanitizer. If you need tools, let Brian know when you email him. ODRC has tools and gloves that can be borrowed if you need them.

DIRECTIONS: Take Highway 101 SOUTH from Florence. Turn RIGHT at Jessie M. Honeyman State Park. Follow the main road and signs for overnight camping. Go past the visitor booth, staying on the main road until you reach H Loop. Follow the road until you see two parking areas next to a chain link fence. We will meet there.
