Join the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative at Umpqua Beach #2 Day Use and Staging Area on Salmon-Harbor Drive in Winchester Bay from 10am-noon on March 21st to remove invasive Scotch broom. It is a short hike to where we will be working. Day-use fees are waived for volunteers at this event. All are welcome to come join us, and we encourage you to share the event with friends and family!
This work party is weather-dependent. If the weather is predicted to be rainy, we will cancel, so check back to this page a day before the event.
BRING: shovels or spades, loppers, tree saws, gloves, and drinking water. Sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a hat are recommended. A limited number of tools will be available to borrow if you need them.
DIRECTIONS: At Winchester Bay, turn onto Salmon-Harbor Drive. Follow Salmon-Harbor Drive through Winchester Bay and turn left into Douglas County Park’s Umpqua Beach #2 Day Use and Staging Area.
