Due to Federal and State public health authority requests to limit groups to less than 10 people and to limit discretionary travel for the next month, we have decided to cancel our ODRC work parties set for March 21, 25 and April 4. Our work parties generally have 10 to 20 people and some of us are older, so even though it is outside, it is probably wise to cancel for everyone’s health and safety.

Join the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative at Umpqua Dunes Day OHV Staging Area and Douglas County Park on Salmon-Harbor Drive in Winchester Bay from 10am-noon on March 21st to remove invasive Scotch broom. It is a short hike to where we will be working. Day-use fees are waived for volunteers at this event. All are welcome to come join us, and we encourage you to share the event with friends and family!

This work party is weather-dependent. If the weather is predicted to be rainy, we will cancel, so check back to this page a day before the event.

BRING: shovels or spades, loppers, tree saws, gloves, and drinking water. Sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a hat are recommended. A limited number of tools will be available to borrow if you need them.

DIRECTIONS: At Winchester Bay, turn onto Salmon-Harbor Drive. Follow Salmon-Harbor Drive through Winchester Bay and turn left into Umpqua Dunes Day OHV Staging Area and Douglas County Park.
