The National Weather Service predicts decent weather for this Saturday, November 3rd. So come join local volunteers and members of the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative to cut and pull Scotch broom at Heceta Dunes from 10:00 to Noon. We will hike about 1 to 1.5 miles to the work site. The terrain is mostly level, but we do cross one large dune.

BRING: Hand saws, loppers, shovel or spade, gloves, hat, drinking water, snack or lunch. Long pants and closed-toe, sturdy shoes are recommended. Friendly dogs are welcome on a leash.

DIRECTIONS: Highway 101 NORTH from Florence. Turn LEFT on Heceta Beach Road. Turn RIGHT on 4th Avenue. Turn RIGHT on Joshua Lane…drive to the east end of Joshua for parking. (Please do not block driveways, mail boxes or fire hydrants).
