Come join local volunteers and members of the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative to cut and pull Scotch broom on Saturday, June 2.

We will be working near the entrance removing straggler plants that we have found and also some areas that were missed. There are lots of baby plants to pull and also larger plants to uproot (or cut if we can’t dig them up). We will spread out a bit in the main area inside the gate to work. Some may choose to hike in to pick up where we left off during our April event.

Meet at the EAST end of Joshua Lane (Florence, Oregon) at 10:00 AM. We will work for 2 hours, but you may leave early if you like. Those who want to work longer than 2 hours may do so.

BRING: Loppers, shovels, tree saws, gloves. Long pants and closed-toe shoes recommended as are sunscreen and water (extra water if it is hot). Friendly dogs welcome on leash.

Parking available on Joshua Lane (please do not block private driveways, mailboxes or fire hydrants).

This event is being hosted by the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative and the Siuslaw National Forest.

Directions: Highway 101 NORTH from Florence. Turn LEFT on Heceta Beach Road. Turn RIGHT on 4th Avenue. Turn RIGHT on Joshua Lane…drive to the east end of Joshua for parking.
