We will be working near the entrance removing straggler plants that we have found and also some areas that were missed. There are lots of baby plants to pull and also larger plants to uproot (or cut if we can't dig them up). We will spread out a bit in the main area inside the gate to work. Join us Saturday July 23rd for a volunteer work party at Heceta Dunes. We are looking for volunteers to join us at this volunteer work party. Volunteers will gather to remove scotch broom from the Oregon Dunes. Volunteer work party will start at 10 AM and go until noon. RECOMMENDED TO BRING: Shovels and hoes work well for the small plants. Loppers, tree saws, and shovels work well for the larger plants. Bring drinking water and a snack. Sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a hat are recommended.
