Join us Saturday July 23rd for a volunteer work party at Heceta Dunes. We are looking for volunteers to join us at this volunteer work party. Volunteers will gather to remove scotch broom from the Oregon Dunes. Volunteer work party will start at 10 AM and go until noon.
RECOMMENDED TO BRING: Shovels and hoes work well for the small plants. Loppers, tree saws, and shovels work well for the larger plants. Bring drinking water and a snack. Sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a hat are recommended. A limited number of tools and gloves will be available if needed.
DIRECTIONS: From Florence take Highway 101 North, turn LEFT on Heceta Beach Rd., go 1.9 miles and turn RIGHT on 4th St., go to the end and turn RIGHT on to Joshua Lane, and go to the end of the road. Please don’t block driveways and mailboxes.
