Join the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative work party to remove Scotch Broom and Gorse plants at Heceta Dunes on Saturday, November 7th from 10:00AM to 12:30PM. It will be a 20-30 minute walk to where we will be working and we will be working on moderately sloping terrain.

There is a maximum of 20 people who can attend, so it is important for you to email Brian Saunders, ODRC Staff Person at brian@eugenecascadescoast.org if you plan on attending. Also, be sure to let him know how many people are in your group.

NOTE: We will need to stay at least 6 feet apart while working and wear face coverings in the parking area. Once we are away from the parking area, the face coverings won’t be necessary as long as we stay at least 6 feet apart.

BRING: If at all possible, bring your own tools and gloves. There are a variety of different sized broom plants, so saws, loppers and shovels will work. A hat, long pants, and sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots are recommended. Bring your own drinking water and hand sanitizer. If you need tools, let Brian know when you email him. ODRC has tools and gloves that can be borrowed if you need them.

DIRECTIONS: From Florence, go North on Highway 101 to Heceta Beach Road. Turn right on 4th Street and go to the end. Turn right on Joshua Lane and go to the end of the road. Please do not block mailboxes or driveways.
