As part of Power of Florence, the Oregon Dunes Restoration Collaborative is sponsoring a Scotch broom removal event at Heceta Dunes. This event is on Saturday, July 22 from 10 AM to Noon. Volunteers are needed to continue our efforts to remove invasive Scotch broom from one of our "Protect the Best" sites. Bring shovels, loppers, or small hand saws if you have them, or if you don't, we will have some tools you can borrow. Join us Saturday July 23rd for a volunteer work party at Heceta Dunes.  We are looking for volunteers to join us at this volunteer work party.  Volunteers will gather to remove scotch broom from the Oregon Dunes.  Volunteer work party will start at 10 AM and go until noon. RECOMMENDED TO BRING: Shovels and hoes work well for the small plants. Loppers, tree saws, and shovels work well for the larger plants. Bring drinking water and a snack.
